EMERGENCY services were called to reports of a fire at a Bexhill shop.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to Maggie’s Kitchen in London Road, at 8.41am today (April 30) to distinguish the flames .
Four engines were present in the morning to deal with the fire.
The fire is in a kitchen of the vacant takeaway and firefighters are wearing breathing apparatus while putting out the fire.
The fire service wrote on its website: “The fire is out. As of 10.40am the incident continues to be scaled down.
“East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and Sussex Police request members of the public continue to stay away from scene until further notice. The road currently remains closed.
“There are no reports of injuries.”
