Fire has ripped through a popular local bus which has featured on numerous TV shows – the owners of the vehicle have said they’re ‘totally devastated’.
The Big Green Bus, which is located at a glamping site at Laughton, was renovated into a stunning place to stay for visitors. The project was featured on Channel 4’s George Clarkes Amazing Spaces in 2013.
The owners announced on Facebook today: “We’re totally devastated to say that today a large fire ripped through the bus and destroyed it to a point of no return. The bus has been a massive labour of love for me and since 2014 became my lively hood.”
They added: “This came crashing down today as we watched it burn to the ground. With a very heavy heart, we have to cancel all future guests. Please bear with us in this incredibly difficult time and I will contact each one of you in the coming weeks.
They reported no one was hurt in the incident.
