Fire crews were called to a farm in Hailsham this afternoon after flames took hold of an outbuilding.
Three pumps and a water carrier attended the scene in Harebeating Lane, off Battle Road, where a large barn was well alight throwing a plume of smoke across the town.
It took place just before 4pm, and crews quickly arrived on the scene, eventually getting the blaze dealt with within the hour.
A spokesperson from East Sussex Fire and Rescue told Hailsham News: “Our teams are currently ‘sectorising’ the scene to ensure the flames do not spread. We are making good progress.”
