Date:

A Hastings home has plenty to celebrate after being named in the top 20 care homes in the country.

MHA Lauriston was part of the 20 homes in the country on the carehome.co.uk website who received the maximum rating score of 10.

The home provides residential, nursing and residential dementia care for 60 residents and reached the score of 10 from 63 reviews.

The reviews were from residents, as well as family and friends of residents, where they highlighted the care and affection their families are receiving while living at the home.

MHA Lauriston was ranked 12 out of 20 of all the care homes listed on the website in England, number four in the region of Southeast England and number 1 in Sussex.

Social care provider Methodist Homes (MHA) was also featured in the top 20 care home providers in the UK.

Dionne McEwan, home manager, said: “We are all very pleased with the award and it’s a huge testament to the work all the staff have put in.

“When the news came through, there were a lot of emotions, and this award means a lot to all of us.

“To be amongst the top 20 in the country and ranked number 1 in Sussex makes me very proud.

“Seeing the feedback left by residents and residents has really boosted morale and shows we are doing the right things.

“Also for MHA as an organisation to make the top 20 is also a very big achievement and one that I am sure everyone who works for MHA is proud of.

“I want to thank each and every one who took time out to give us a review and we will aim to continue with the good work we are doing.”

MHA has been operating for more than 80 years, they have 87 care homes, 69 retirement homes and 50 MHA Communities hubs.
