EIGHTY members and guests enjoyed a romantic evening Valentine’s Dinner at the Highwoods Golf Club in Bexhill.
The lovely evening was followed by a powerful and spectacular entertaining performance by local artist Helen Ward-Jackson with her authentic Adele and Divas Tribute Show.
Ladies Captain, Rita Griffiths-Glover, presented a cheque for £250.00 to Jeff Penfold representing ‘Charity for Kids’, a local charity which provides specialised equipment to disabled, sick and terminally ill children in Rother and Hastings which is either not available via health services or where the cost is too prohibitive for their families to provide.
Currently, Highwoods Golf Club is celebrating its 100 year anniversary. Jeff voluntarily gave his time, advice and his expertise in photography in the production of a Centenary Calendar for 2024 to commemorate this event and the donation to the charity was a massive thank you for all his help.
The calendar is a stunning collection of photographs showcasing month by month the very best aspects and Highwoods Golf Course.
Romance was definitely in the air with one very unexpected marriage proposal, which was thankfully accepted.
