Popular radio presenter ‘Mr Lurve’ has died at the age of 74.
Ambrose Harcourt shot to fame locally when he presented late shows for Southern Sound in 1986, and eventually joined the team at Hailsham based Sovereign Radio in the late 90s.
He died at St Barnabas Hospice in Worthing with his family by his side on Wednesday, August 31.
Ambrose was famous throughout the late 80s and 90s for his late night phone in, love song shows with his distinctive relaxing style.
He was involved with many local charities over the last few decades, one of them being the Chestnut Tree House.
His family have said he will be greatly missed.
