Hailsham Town will be in the Semi Final of the Division One Cup after a 3-1 victory against Seaford Town on a very wet evening at The Beaconsfield.
Connor Townsend put Hailsham ahead on 17, only for Seaford to reply a minute later through Jamie Buckett, but second half goals from Paul Wetherby on his home debut and Ash Jarvis, ten minutes from time, sealed the victory for Hailsham.
The game was the only one of the four planned Quarter Finals to be played to a finish this evening, after Southwick v Steyning and Selsey v Wick were abandoned, and Bexhill United had to scratch after failing to raise a team for the trip to Alfold.
If the weather conditions allow, the Stringers return to league action on Saturday, at home to Selsey.
