A22 closed after large water main burst damages road

A section of the Hailsham bypass has been closed to traffic due to a water mains burst which has damaged the surface.

The road has been closed Northbound between the Diplocks and the Boship Roundabout due to the amount of water on the road surface and extensive damage.

South East Water says their works team are on their way to repair the leak as quickly and as safely as possible.
