Residents suffer power cuts from localised incidents

Date:

Some residents in Hailsham and Polegate still have no power following on from Storm Eunice.

UK Power Networks reports around 100 residents are without power due to a number of localised power failures.

The company states: “We’re investigating a high voltage overhead electricity line fault which has caused a power cut in the local area, and a fault has occurred on a piece of our electrical equipment which controls the power to your home.’

The seven individual power cuts are effecting small numbers of residents but there’s no estimate as to when they might be fixed.

Storm Eunice brought down many power lines across the south-east when it hit on Friday afternoon (18th Feb).

Hundreds of other residents in Bexhill, Ninfield and Eastbourne are also reported power outages this evening (Sunday), and could be without power for many hours.
